The ABS Report is not just for the ABS?

The ABS Report is not a very commonly used report by our clients in general operations. In fact, some of our non-Day Surgery clients may not be aware that there is such a report available in Medical Wizard.

ABS report is a specific report required to be submitted by Day Surgeries to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

Now you might think why should I worry about a report that is only a compliance requirement for the ABS?

However, this report actually contains many valuable insights into your practice and patient demographics. Therefore, while it is only required to be run by the Day Surgeries, it is very much worthwhile for you to run it at least once and have a look at the information it gives you. 

Some of the key information it provides you are a simplified demographic analysis of your patient base, a count of patients from each suburb and a simplified analysis of Payer accounts types such as Health funds, DVA, Medicare etc.

This report can be accessed from the Management Reports menu option in the new reception module as shown below.
